Just last weekend I had the privilege of attending my dear friend’s wedding at the Grand Hyatt. It was an elegant and simple affair with the couple finally tying the knot after a 5-year courtship since University. The groom, my friend even looked considerably taller than his usual self as he seemed to be bursting with pride and happiness.
But on closer inspection, I realized, he actually DID look inches taller than his natural height. The difference was literally this:
Back when he was still with Katie Holmes
Naturally, being the vertically challenged curious creature that I am, I whipped out my phone, (who has the patience to go home and use a desktop these days) and did as I was told. I knew the moment I saw the site, that my days of being below-average-height-Asian-man-were-over.
Special occasion shoes that make your taller
What I found was a site called WalkingTall Shoes, which from the looks of it seemed to be a leader in Singapore (and perhaps the region) for men’s height enhancement shoes. These are also called platform or elevator shoes.
My fiancee and I were in the process of tying the knot ourselves and ticking off various things on our to-do list such as a wedding photo shoot. A cursory glance through the site revealed plenty of amazing height enhancing options for me to choose from based on my outfits for my shoot. They also had options for design and color for the shoes along with height enhancement options for how tall you want to look. I was amazed to find that you can increase your height up to a maximum of 10cm! Now which man wouldn’t get a 10 feet ego boost with a 10 cm height increase?
After looking through their catalog I purchased the reddish brown and light brown pairs (as below) and am really pleased with the comfort of the sole and feel of the overall shoe. Not to mention I’ve now gone from a height of height is 5 feet 6 but after wearing these discreet shoes I have become 5 feet 8.5, which is pretty darn impressive!
What if you want to look taller for informal dates you say?
No problem! The Walking Tall line also carries some casual footwear designs that can also be worn for movie dates, picnic dates, a visit to the zoo (yes, back in my time I brought my girlfriend on a date to the Zoo. I’m surprised she agreed to marry me after that.)
The height of these casual shoes also ranges in height depending on how tall you want to be that particular date. (a.k.a whether your girlfriend is going to wear heels or not). The informal shoes are also cleverly lined with an inner and outer heel so that the height enhancement aspect is subtle and natural and you don’t actually look like a man wearing heels
Overall my verdict is that this company definitely knows what it is doing in the height enhancement arena and I have really liked their range, quality, and discreet design to increase the height of its wearer. Definitely recommended to check out!
